Adding Reference Using RefGrab-It

RefGrab-It is a tool that helps you capture and save web pages to RefWorks. In order to use this feature you must first download a small and free program RefGrab-it.

Installing RefGrab-It

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Login to your RefWorks
2. Select Tools from menu and right click on RefGrab-It
3. A menu will appear; for Internet Explorer click on Add to Favorites; for Mozzila Firefox click on Bookmark This Link
4. Drag and drop the RefGrab-It link to your personal toolbar

Using RefGrab-It

Note: You may need to temporarily disable any pop-up blockers while accessing the RefGrab-It results

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Click on the RefGrab-It button when you are on a web page you want
2. You will be brought to a temporary RefWorks page where the citation data will be displayed
3. Click on the Import button and confirm by clicking OK
4. If you are not logged in to your RefWorks account, log-in
5. Your RefGrabed records will appear in the Last Imported folder
6. Revise your reference by clicking Edit link on the right top corner of the reference
7. Edit your reference and Save it.
