Creating a Bibliography


Once you have all your references stored and edited you can format a bibliography from your list of records. RefWorks provides hundreds of style formats (i.e. MLA, Chicago) to choose from.

Creating your Bibliography List

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Login to your RefWorks
  2. In tool bar, choose Bibliography
  3. Select Output Style (i.e. MLA, Chicago)
  4. If the your Output Style is not listed, choose Tools on the Toolbar and select Output Style Manager, then select your Style and Add to Favorites
  5. Select Format a Bibliography from a List of References, at the bottom of the page
  6. Select File Type to Create (HTML, MS Word, etc.)
  7. Select which references you would like to include (All or references from other specific folder you have created)
  8. Click on Create Bibliography
  9. Program will form Bibliography List, save the document as usually
  10. If a Bibliography List does not show, you can select to Download it or E-mail it to yourself
