Have you ever wondered whether your hobby is tax-deductible? Or what distinguishes an office in your house from a room in which you do work? Or where the Georgetown Business Improvement District's boundaries are? These questions can be answered by using one of the Library's new tax databases: CCH Internet Tax Resource NetWork. Besides replacing several looseleaf services and freeing up valuable space in the reference stacks, CCH NetWork offers, from any office on campus, an easy way to answer those pesky tax questions. This site provides comprehensive foreign, federal, and state tax information, including tax codes, regulations, court cases, IRS publications, federal and state tax forms, editorial commentary, and explanations. Topics covered include personal tax, corporate tax, business entity planning, financial and estate planning, banking tax service, and state tax issues. To use the database on campus, go to <http://tax.cch.com/ipnetwork>, or find the link in the Business and Economics section of the Library's Indexes and Databases Web page: <http://www.library.georgetown.edu/indexes/index.htm>. |
