New Hoya's Guide
A new guide to the libraries at Georgetown University is now available. "A Hoya's Guide to Libraries" is designed primarily for first and second year main campus students and anyone else who is unfamiliar with Georgetown University libraries. It addresses that old fear of all students: "you get an assignment involving library research, and you don't know where to begin." The Hoya's Guide to Libraries provides an overview of the when, what, where, and how to of using libraries at Georgetown. The most extensive section, "How To...?," explains how to find books, periodical articles, government documents, audio-visual materials, and information on the Internet.
Copies of "A Hoya's Guide to Libraries" will be distributed to all Main Campus first year students. If you would like copies to give to your classes please contact Sandy Hussey, Reference, Lauinger Library, 687-7534. "A Hoya's Guide to Libraries" is also available in the Library. |
