Gutenberg and Beyond: An Exhibit

An exhibit chronicling how changing technologies have influenced the evolution of the book and libraries will be on display in the Special Collections Division on the fifth floor of Lauinger Library through June 30, 1996. The evolution of the computer, especially as it forms part of the world of libraries, is also traced. The rationale for the exhibit springs from an awareness that the major changes computer technology have brought to academic libraries deserve to be seen not as a wholly new circumstance, but as the latest in a series of technological changes that stretch back to the time of Gutenberg and even before. Call Special Collections at 687-7444 for further information.
