Associates Support Library's Future

Faculty are invited to join the Library Associates, a group of more than 800 special friends of the Library who share an interest in the life of the mind. The Associates enjoy: 
 

• learning from authors, scholars, and diplomatic figures
• befriending fellow Associates, a true melting-pot of professors, students, diplomats, artists, authors, lawyers, business people, famous Georgetowners
• honoring family and friends through the enduring gift of a volume dedicated to a graduating student, faculty member, loved one, or an old friend
• collecting books with expert advice from the Library's Special Collections staff
• helping Georgetown's Lauinger Library, through contributions of funds and library materials, to develop its outstanding collections. 

Since the founding of the Associates in 1975, members have provided leads to notable collections of books and manuscripts that have frequently found their way to the Library as gifts. Associates have themselves made substantial contributions of materials and funds, and they provide a strong support for the Library's future.
