FLL and A-VLRC Cooperate
on Classroom Technology
Over the past academic year, the Audio-Visual Learning Resource Center (A-VLRC) has installed computer-capable audio-visual technology in five Intercultural Center classrooms. Working closely with FLL College Dean Dr. Serafina Hager, and Ms. Laurie Stechschulte of the University Registrar's Office, the A-VLRC staff integrated new equipment into Intercultural Center classrooms 205A, 207A, 209B, 211B, and 219A. A-VLRC staff selected the media technology and designed the architectural features for these classroom media renovations, while Dean Hager raised the funds to outfit the five classrooms with the most up-to-date audio-visual and computer equipment. Patterned after the College Parents Council Technology Initiative, this project led to the installation of a monitor, video player, laser and compact disc player, video switching equipment, audio cassette player, and sound system in each of these classrooms. This project raises to twenty-two the number of classrooms on the Main Campus which include installed audio-visual and computer projection equipment.
