IDEAL Alert is a current-awareness service for the 174 Academic Press electronic journal titles. Registered subscribers to this free service receive digests of the latest articles available on IDEAL as well as individual journal tables of contents. Digests can be focused on categories such as Social and Behavioral Sciences and Economics; Life and Biomedical Sciences; or Physical Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Both digests and tables of contents are sent via e-mail as either text (viewable on all mail readers) or as an HTML page. To subscribe, visit IDEAL's homepage and click on the IDEAL Alert link (in the left column).

Scholarly Articles Research Alerting (SARA) disseminates free of charge the tables of contents of any of the more than 270 journals published by Carfax, an international journal publisher. Carfax will e-mail to you the contents pages of any of their journals, in advance of the printed edition. To register for this complimentary service, visit the Carfax homepage.
