The Special Collections Division is open Monday to
Friday from 9 am to 5:00 pm. Please
check our online calendar at the left
for holiday closures and special events.
We are
located on the fifth floor of Lauinger
Library, on the southeast corner
of the campus at 37th and N Streets
N.W. We are approximately one mile
from the Rosslyn Metro station, across
the Key Bridge. Walking across
the bridge provides a beautiful
view of campus. As an alternative,
the Georgetown
University Transportation Shuttle
(GUTS) bus service
operates shuttle routes connecting
the University campus to nearby Metrorail stations
at Rosslyn for the Blue and Orange
lines and Dupont Circle for the Red line. Visitors
may ride the GUTS bus free of
charge after showing a picture ID
and signing in when boarding. See
the GUTS webpage
for a schedule of departure. Parking
is extremely limited and expensive. The Southwest
parking garage may be entered from
Canal Road. However, we really do
strongly suggest public transportation.
We are open to all users who present some form of
photographic identification and follow
our rules. Advance notice of your visit,
though not required, is recommended.
Informational calls are accepted at
(202) 687-7444. Reference requests by
email are accepted, and you may direct
email inquiries as
recommended by our Staff
Contacts List.
