Web Version of SciFinder Scholar

The web version of SciFinder is available now. This new version will provide you with many of the powerful analysis tools found in the client version of SciFinder, as well as new features to help improve productivity. To register, please go to the GU Registration web page. You need to be on campus to register, but you can access the web verision from off-campus after registration. The login URL to search SciFinder Web is: scifinder.cas.org.

SciFinder Scholar 2007 Installation

To update an earlier edition of SciFinder Scholar:

1. Send an email to Yan He or Gwen Owens to get the username and password needed for the download.
2. Install in the same directory as the current SciFinder Scholar.
3. When asked if you have a Custom Site Files disk, answer NO.
4. Go to http://www.cas.org/support/academic/sf/sfsdownloads/index.html for directions and the installation link.

If this is a new SciFinder Scholar installation:

1. You must have a signed CAS Scifinder Scholar User Agreement on file in the Blommer Science Library to comply with CAS licensing requirements and to receive the Custom Site Files disk.
2. Ask for the instructions and the disk at the Science Library Reference Desk.
